A few floral high tea tips

I love a good high tea...

Sitting around with your girlfriends feeling slightly special drinking from the old tea cups from the forbidden china cabinet.

High tea brings out the prettiness in everything. Its a perfect excuse to bring out the alannah hill frills and cute little head pieces. I cant help but woft into a vintage land!
My floral tips for a high tea is to decorate with old worldly blooms. Snap dragons, Sweetpeas, Lisianthus , vintage field roses.... anything fluffy and pastels.
Pop them into a prop such as a crisp white tea pot, vintage jug or anything a little bric and brac and it brings the table setting to life. Random cute jars are also great.... with a variety of singular flowers cut at different heights. Tie a little natural twine to each bottle...add a little character
Tea and flowers, bliss x

Mothers day is coming up... another excuse to bring out the bone china ; )

Valentines Day Flowers

Oh Sweet Valentines Day..

Traditionally one of the craziest days on the calender. Well for a florist  : )

We have now entered the official countdown, 14 days!

The to do list is growing and there is a slight buzz of excitement! Cant wait for the super dooper craziness!

Orders are already being placed and lots of umming over card messages. Its funny messages range from short and sweet, intricate fairy tale novel, or simply  the customer leaves it up to me.

Interesting enough the trend has been changing over the last couple of years. Guys are breaking tradition and shying away from the loveliness of the Red rose.
Vibrant coloured roses and seasonal blooms seem to be creeping up.

But then again..

Red Roses will always win in the long run.

Better get back to my to do list.....

Happy Friday x
